Installing Fuel Pump

12/30/2005 Installing a fuel pump is easy if you don't have the obstruction of the body. Here I am installing my newly rebuilt fuel pump. My engine was rebuilt last week, so I had a nice clean surface to install it on.

12/30/2005 I don't want any leaks from the oil that will be thrown around by the cam shaft, so I want to have a good sealer around the gasket. I used the High temp silicone sealer.

12/30/2005 When you insert the fuel pump you place the fuel pump arm on top of the cam shaft. You then have to slightly push the fuel pump down (springs will allow it), and line up the bolts and tighten them. You seen my gasket sealer is squishing out here, so I need to wipe it off.

12/30/2005 Wipe the extra gasket sealer off, and you have it. A very nice install that should not leak.
