Gauges.
8/5/2005 My gauges were in pretty good shape when I purchased the vehicle. All were original except the Amp and fuel gauges. I picked up NOS gauges for replacements.
8/5/2005 Oil gauge was still in good shape. Rim needs cleaning and paint, but works well.
8/5/2005 Temperature gauge... good shape but the rim needs painting.
8/5/2005 This NOS fuel gauge was purchased to replace the incorrect gauge that came with the vehicle
8/5/2005 This NOS Amp gauge was purchased to replace the incorrect gauge that came with the vehicle
8/5/2005 I cleaned the rims, and covered the faces for painting. I wanted to spray paint for better look and coverage.
8/5/2005 Painting the rims as a piece of cake. I used the blue tape so when I removed it wouldn't chip away the paint that was applied to the rim
8/5/2005 Prior to installing the Fuel gauge, I sanded the rim of the tub insert. This will provide a good ground for the device. Common problem after a restore, not getting a good ground.
11/27/2006 Installing the Speedo, Amp and Fuel gauges temporarily while I am working on the other wiring. Looks pretty good, and the gauges didn't need restoring.
11/27/2006 Al Brass, shows more clear pictures of the Speedo path... Here you see the Speedo cable coming from the Firewall
1/5/2007 Speedo cable will go down the firewall, enter into the frame and come out at the transfer case. Pretty simple.
1/5/2007 Here you see the oil line connecting to the block from the firewall line
1/5/2007 I installed the wiring from the electrical plan (ammeter) and hooked up the temperature line... then fired it up. After everything ran after 15min, you see gauges are working and looking pretty good
