Panel lights Installation.

12/2/2006 Before you start wiring or re-wiring, I recommend that you take a look a the Wiring diagram for your jeep. Wires are color coded so you should be able to understand what you want to do. In this wiring diagram, it is for the LATE MODEL jeep (in my case 1945)

12/2/2006 From the wiring diagram, there should be a Blue w// wire from your main switch. In your wiring kit, you should have a pair of black w// wires. Connect both of them to the Panel Light switch as shown below.

12/2/2006 Run the pair of black w// wires with the bulb connectors through the light holders. Note: with the switch out of the dash, otherwise it will be tight to get bulb on.

12/2/2006 Install the bulbs. Pushing bulb into socket and twisting into slot.

12/2/2006 Press the bulbs into the light head, snapping into place. (if you installed the switch into the dash, this task will be a little difficult because you won't have any room to press together, line will be to short)

12/2/2006 Press the light heads on, and push the panel light switch into its dash slot (note: knob should be removed first, screw and twist off, and nut and washer removed). Once the switch is through the dash hole, install the washer, nut and knob. Your done!
