Making your own Spark plug wires
6/27/2007 I bought the vinyl spark plug set from the usual vendors, not thinking that they would be any different than any others.

After about 100mi and about 3hrs of run time on my newly rebuilt engine and restore, I found the cables were splitting and the coil to distributor wire was arching causing sputtering after the engine was warm.
6/27/2007  After posting the problem on the G, Pete Silfven suggested that he had been making his own wires for years. He said that the Packard 440 wire was excellent (copper conductor, rubber insulated so will not crack).
